INCLUSIVITY | Building communities that are welcoming and accessible to all

We are working to forge a culture in which every Jew is welcomed as a full and vital member of the Jewish family at home, at work and in all aspects of communal life.

Humankind’s rich diversity of backgrounds, passions and interests are a source of vitality in shaping strong, inclusive communities.

How Welcoming Are We?

For 25 years, we have been outspoken advocates for inclusion and equality in Tulsa, Israel and the Jewish world. Over the last decade, we have increasingly focused on enhancing inclusion and equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community.

Our support for organizations like Keshet in the U.S. and the Jerusalem Open House in Israel provides resources and trainings that promote the full inclusion of LGBTQ Jews within Jewish communal life. We have also helped to put issues of equality on the Jewish communal agenda through conferences, public calls for non-discrimination policies and our support for the first-ever Jewish Organization Equality Index in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign.

In Tulsa, we¬†have prioritized the adoption of inclusive policies¬†and practices among our partner organizations and, in 2011, helped Oklahomans for Equality (OkEq) host the heartland region’s first-ever conference on LGBTQ inclusion.

We are proud to support programs and organizations that acknowledge and respond to the diversity and individualism among our people and make our communities more welcoming to all.
